This scholarship cannot be combined with the Volunteer Scholarship.

Scholarship Eligibility
Admitted first-year, out-of-state students with a minimum 3.6 GPA* who apply for admission by December 15 of their senior year in high school will be automatically considered for these institutional scholarships. To determine eligibility to the Tennessee Explore Scholarship, UT must receive your new test scores by July 1. You must matriculate the fall semester immediately following your graduation from a US high school and be a US citizen, permanent resident, or domestic international student to be considered.
How to Apply
If you are an incoming first-year out-of-state student with a minimum 3.6 GPA* and apply for admission by December 15 of your final year in high school, you will be automatically considered for these institutional scholarships.
How to Keep the Tennessee Explore Scholarship
- Maintain full-time enrollment status each fall and spring semester
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements
How does this combine with other scholarships?
The Tennessee Explore Scholarship cannot combine with other UT institutionally funded scholarships. However, if you are awarded a donor-funded scholarship competitively, those will usually* be allowed to stack.
