About the KIPP Scholarship

When combined with the HOPE Scholarship, this scholarship covers tuition and mandatory fees* for up to eight (8) semesters.

If you meet all criteria, you are automatically granted this award – no separate application is required!

KIPP Scholars may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the UT Volunteer, Orange & White, Pledge, or Provost Scholarship. If your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums, your award amounts may be adjusted.

Eligibility and Criteria

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a Tennessee resident
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • Be a first-time, first-year student who enters UT in the fall semester immediately following graduation from KIPP Memphis Collegiate High School or KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School
  • Submit their admission application by the December 15 deadline
  • File their FAFSA by the UT Priority Filing Date

How to Keep the Tennessee KIPP Scholarship

  • Submit the FAFSA every year by the UT Priority Filing Date
  • Maintain 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Maintain continuous full-time enrollment
