This four-year scholarship is awarded to National Merit finalists and National Achievement finalists.
In combination with the National Merit Scholarship, it is valued at $2,000 per year and may be added to other scholarships awarded by UT. It is available to both admitted Tennessee residents and out-of-state students.
How to Apply
You must name UT as your first college choice with National Merit Corporation, and you must apply for admission by December 15.

How does this combine with other scholarships?
Provost Scholars may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the UT Volunteer, and some in-state scholars might be eligible to receive Orange & White, Flagship, Pledge, Promise, Provost, or TN Connect. When two or more scholarships are combined, your award amounts may be adjusted if your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums.
