Eligibility and Criteria Row
Admitted first-year, in-state students with a minimum 3.6 GPA* who apply for admission by December 16 of their senior year in high school will be automatically considered for this scholarship.
To be eligible, students must:
- Matriculate the fall semester immediately following your graduation from a Tennessee high school.
- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or domestic international student.
- Submit any new test scores to UT in advance so they can be received by July 1.
How to Apply
Admitted first-year, in-state students with a minimum 3.6 GPA* who apply for admission by December 16 of their senior year in high school will be automatically considered for these institutional scholarships.
How to Keep the Orange & White Scholarship
To keep the Orange & White Scholarship, you must:
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
- Maintain federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Maintain full-time enrollment throughout each semester
Hows does this combine with other scholarships?
Orange & White Scholarship recipients may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the Flagship, Pledge, Promise, or Provost Scholarship. When two or more scholarships are combined, your award amounts may be adjusted if your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums.
