Overview of the Global Ambassador Scholarship
The honorary Global Ambassador Scholarship program recognizes international students who exemplify the Volunteer spirit and have an excellent academic record based on their UT Converted and Weighted GPA.
Award Amounts
These award amounts are based on international students receiving out-of-state tuition and fee charges. Should your residency status change, it could affect your award amount.
This scholarship does not stack with other institutional scholarships.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible for the Global Ambassador Scholarship, you must:
- Be an incoming, first-year international student (non-resident visa holder who will not graduate from a US high school) with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Apply for admission by May 1 during your final year of high school
- Be enrolled and attending UT the fall semester immediately following your high school graduation
How to Apply
International students who meet the above criteria will receive an invitation with a separate application for the Global Ambassador Scholarship. If you are selected for this scholarship, you will be able to represent UT as a Global Ambassador and carry out Volunteer activities orchestrated through UT’s International Recruitment.
Applicants who apply after May 1 will not be considered for this scholarship.
How to Keep the Global Ambassador Scholarship
To keep the Global Ambassador Scholarship, you must:
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and good academic standing
- Maintain full-time enrollment throughout each semester
- Remain a non-resident visa holder who did not graduate from a U.S. high school
- Commit to being a UT Global Ambassador and adhere to the program requirements
- Serve as an example of the Volunteer spirit as a positive peer resource for prospective international students
