Orange & White Scholarship

Our Orange & White Scholarship exclusively recognizes in-state students with an excellent academic record. 

Admitted first-year, in-state students with a minimum 3.6 GPA* who apply for admission by December 15 of their senior year in high school will be automatically considered for this scholarship. New test scores to determine eligibility for the Orange & White Scholarship must be received by July 1. You must matriculate the fall semester immediately following your graduation from a US high school and be a US citizen, permanent resident, or domestic international student to be considered.

In order to keep the Orange & White Scholarship, you’re required to:

  • Maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Maintain full-time enrollment throughout each semester

Amounts shown are for the 2024–25 academic year and are good for four years. Scholarship programs are reviewed annually and may change for future academic years. 

This scholarship cannot be combined with the Volunteer Scholarship.

How does this combine with other scholarships?

Orange & White Scholars may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the Flagship, Pledge, Promise, Provost, or TN Connect.  When two or more scholarships are combined, your award amounts may be adjusted if your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums.
