This four-year scholarship is awarded to National Merit finalists and National Achievement finalists.
Overview of the Provost Scholarship
In combination with the National Merit Scholarship, the Provost Scholarship is valued at $2,000 per academic year and may be added to other scholarships awarded by UT. It is available to first-year in-state and out-of-state students.
Eligibility, Criteria and How to Apply
To be eligible, you must:
- Name UT as your first college choice with National Merit Corporation
- Apply for admission by December 16
- Be a National Merit finalist or National Achievement finalists
How to Keep the Provost Scholarship
To keep your Provost Scholarship, you must:
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5
How does this combine with other scholarships?
Provost Scholars may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the UT Volunteer Scholarship. Some in-state scholars may be eligible to receive Orange & White, Flagship, Pledge, or Promise.
If your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums, your award amounts may be adjusted.
