The KIPP Scholarship is offered to admitted freshmen who graduate from KIPP Memphis Collegiate High School or KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School.
About the KIPP Scholarship
When combined with the HOPE Scholarship, this scholarship covers tuition and mandatory fees* for up to eight (8) semesters.
If you meet all criteria, you are automatically granted this award – no separate application is required!
Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a Tennessee resident
- Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- Be a first-time, first-year student who enters UT in the fall semester immediately following graduation from KIPP Memphis Collegiate High School or KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School
- Submit their admission application by the December 16 deadline
- File their FAFSA by the UT Priority Filing Date

How to Keep the Tennessee KIPP Scholarship
- Submit the FAFSA every year by the UT Priority Filing Date
- Maintain 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Maintain continuous full-time enrollment

How does this combine with other scholarships?
KIPP Scholars may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the UT Volunteer, Orange & White, Pledge, or Provost Scholarship. If your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums, your award amounts may be adjusted.
