How to Keep the Chancellor’s Scholarships

A student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) is monitored annually and reviewed by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at the end of every spring semester. If the student does not have the required cumulative GPA at that time, scholarship eligibility is lost moving forward.

  • All Chancellor’s Scholarships require a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher

If the student experienced extenuating circumstances that affected their ability to meet the minimum requirements, they can submit a written appeal for the loss of their scholarship.

Approved appeals grant probationary eligibility for the next semester.

How does this combine with other scholarships?

Chancellor’s Scholarship awardees may qualify for other UT Scholarships, such as the Volunteer Scholarship, Flagship, Pledge, Promise, or Provost Scholarship.  When two or more scholarships are combined, your award amounts may be adjusted if your combination exceeds UT’s allowable award maximums.
