15-4 Tuition and Fees

The 15-4 Tuition Model became effective for undergraduates in fall 2013.

The charts below explain how your bill is broken up between tuition and other programming fees.

Tuition (Maintenance)* $9,780 per year*
Programs & Services This fee pays for recreation and student programming facilities along with student activities, publications, and the Student Government Association.
Health Fee This fee covers health and wellness services.
Library Fee This fee pays for library operations, new books, and electronic resources.
Study Abroad Fee This fee covers student scholarships available to undergraduates.
Technology Fee This fee covers student equipment, technical resources, and other IT services.
Facilities Fee This pays for maintaining and upgrading classrooms, buildings, and campus infrastructure.
Transportation Fee This fee pays for our campus bus system.

*Tuition is also called the maintenance fee, and will be based on 15 credit hours for students who enroll or re-enroll as full-time undergraduates for fall 2013, spring 2014, and summer 2014. The maintenance fee is the in-state portion of tuition that all students pay, and is the portion of your bill that increases in the 15-4 model.

Out-of-state Facilities Fee Out-of-state students pay an additional facilities fee because the State of Tennessee allocates these funds for in-state students.

*The portion of out-of-state tuition that is also called the maintenance fee, will be based on 15 credit hours for students who enroll or re-enroll as full-time undergraduates for fall 2013, spring 2014, and summer 2014. The maintenance fee is the in-state portion of tuition that all students pay, and is the portion of your bill that increases in the 15-4 model.

**This portion of out-of-state tuition will not increase, and will not change for four years for out-of-state students who enroll or re-enroll as full-time undergraduates for fall 2013, spring 2014, and summer 2014, unless significant unforeseen circumstances occur.
